Trax hosted a day of learning and networking for emerging & growth brands and offered first look at new Trax Smart Action solution

New York, NY February 1, 2023 – Trax, a leading provider of computer vision and AI-driven solutions for in-store execution, merchandising and shopper engagement, brought together leaders and industry experts from fast growing and emerging brands to their first Trax Disruptors event at the historic New York Stock Exchange on January 18th. The day-long event set out to educate, engage and inspire with talks from brand founders, sessions on hot-button topics and challenges for emerging brands, and a preview of Trax’s newest solution, Trax Smart Action.

“Over the past two years, we have partnered with over 500 emerging and mid-tier brands with advanced technology and data-powered solutions that are levelling the playing field – giving them the tools and insights to win at the shelf and engage shoppers,” said Justin Behar, chief executive officer, Trax. “We wanted to kick off the new year with excitement and so we gathered some of the most innovative and fast-growing brands in retail, had them share their learnings and brought our own expertise with global brands to these emerging players to discuss how advances in technology are opening up new ways to compete in retail.”

The event kicked off with a keynote presentation by industry legend Craig Dubitsky, Founder of Hello Products, Co-Founder of EOS and early stage investor in Method.

“I love brands and I love branding. Every brand, even the really big ones, were started by entrepreneurs who found a way to improve a category. Today, Trax filled the New York Stock Exchange with passionate entrepreneurs who not only want to change a category, but want to change the world. Entrepreneurs who shared success stories and failures, learned from each other and inspired one another,” said Dubitsky.

The day continued with the iconic NYSE bell-ringing ceremony and presentations from brands like Once Upon a Farm, EBOOST, MingsBings, Mission Athletecare, Pitaya Foods, Pop & Bottle, RIND, Sanzo, Proper Good, and Anomaly. Attendees were also given an exclusive sneak peek at Trax’s latest solution: Trax Smart Action.

Trax Smart Action is a data-powered merchandising solution providing fast-growing and emerging brands data, insights, and recommended actions to optimize in-store execution. Shelf data is proactively collected in-store data from national retailers and is closed-looped into Trax’s merchandising solutions for prompt actions. This comprehensive dataset unlocks a new level of retail visibility and allows high

growth brands to better understand current shelf and market conditions. Key performance indicators like out of stocks, and competitive insights are integrated into a single dashboard that allows brands to efficiently grow sales based on data-driven decisions. This solution combines Trax’s renowned computer vision capabilities to collect accurate shelf data with Trax’s flexible merchandising teams to find shelf execution issues and fix them only when, and where, needed. Trax Smart Action is currently in the pilot phase, but Trax expects the offering to be available to all categories in H2 2023.

“Field merchandising and in-store execution have followed the same outdated practices for decades. Often brands find themselves paying for visits rather than results which leads to sporadic or incomplete data and ultimately translates to inefficient use of merchandisers and a poor impact on shelf execution and sales.” said Davey Weissberg, vice president of product, Trax. “This is why Trax has built and is investing in Trax Smart Action – a new platform and solution that will provide fast-growing, disruptor brands – starting with the naturals category – timely actionable data that offers added visibility and control to optimize their budget and maximize in-store sales.”
